Install and activate your eSIM

1. Before installing (indeed, before buying) – check compatibility
Certainly, it’s clear that installing eSIMs won’t be feasible if your smartphone lacks eSIM compatibility and is locked to a specific carrier. But there’s no reason for concern, given that today, most flagship devices from prominent manufacturers come with eSIM support, ensuring you stay current with the technology.

2. Install your eSIM
It’s highly advisable to install your eSIM promptly after purchasing your plan to facilitate swift access to data services when you need them. It’s essential to distinguish between the act of installation and plan activation; installing your eSIM ahead of time won’t initiate the plan’s expiration countdown.
veteranmax has taken steps to simplify the eSIM Data Plan installation process, a common approach shared by many eSIM providers, offering users two straightforward options for installation
Install just an hour before your trip and activate it during your flight or at your destination.
Choose the “Install with QR code” option if you have the code on another device for scanning
Opt for “Manual Installation” if you are unable to scan the QR code.
2.1. Via QR Code (Recommended)
Before you begin installation with a QR code, there are a few important points to be aware of:
- You must have the QR code on another screen or device to scan it with your phone camera.
- Make sure you have a stable internet connection throughout the process.
Please note that the QR code can only be scanned once. - Do not remove the eSIM from your device as you will not be able to use it again.
- a. Print out the QR code or display it on another screen
- b. Go to Settings > Cellular (or Mobile Data) > Add Cellular Plan (or Add Data Plan), then scan the QR code
- c. After scanning the QR code will start the installation process. Follow the installation steps on your iPhone.
Step by step installation guide
1. Go to “Settings”
2. Go to “Cellular”
3. Click “Add eSIM”
4. Choose “Use QR Code”
5. Scan the code
you received from veteranmax”
6. Tap “Continue” and wait installation complete
7. Select your veteranmax eSIM and rename it to “veteranmax” > Tap “Continue”
8. Select Primary as your Default line and tap Continue
9. Select Primary as your line for iMessage & FaceTime and tap Continue
10. Select veteranmax eSIM as your line for Cellular Data and tap Continue
- a. Print out the QR code or display it on another screen
- c. Go to Settings > Connections > SIM Card Manager > Add Mobile Plan > Scan QR code
- c. Scan the QR code and follow the installation steps to install your eSIM.

2. Click “SIM” card manager
3. Click “Add mobile plan” or “Add “
4. Scan QR code from service provider
5. Scan the code
you received from veteranmax”
6. Tap “Add” and wait
7. The installation is done
- a. Print out the QR code or display it on another screen
- b. Go to Settings > Network and Internet > SIMs > Add More> Download a SIM instead, and then scan the QR code
- c. Scan the QR code we sent to your email and follow the installation steps to install your eSIM.
- d. When you arrive at your destination, follow the activation instructions to connect to the internet
2.2. Via manual input
Before you begin manual installation, there are a few important points to be aware of:
- Manual installation codes can only be used once.
- Make sure you have a stable internet connection throughout the process.
- Do not remove the eSIM from your device as you will not be able to use it again
- a. Check email we sent to you and find “SM-DP+ Address” code and the “Activation Code”
- b. Simply to go Settings > Cellular > “Add eSIM” > Click on “Use QR Code” > “Enter Details Manually”
- c. Enter “SM-DP+ Address” and “Activation Code”
- d. Follow the steps display on your device
Step by step installation guide
1. Go to “Settings” > Cellular > Add eSIM > Click “Scan a QR code” > Choose “Enter Details Manually”
2. Enter the codes we sent you via email
3. Tap “Continue”
4. After Cellular Setup Complete is done, tap “Continue” and wait
- a. Find the email where we sent you the Android activation code when you made the purchase
- b. Open “Settings” > Press “Connections” and Enter the “SIM card management” > Click “Add eSIM to start the installation process”
- c. Select “Scan QR from service provider” > Press “Enter activation code”
- d. Follow the steps that your devices displays
- a. Find the activation code we sent to you via your email.
- b. Open “Settings” > Press “Network & Internet” and then the “+” icon next to your main plan > Click “Download a eSIM instead?”
- c. At the bottom of the screen, press “Need help?” and you will find a highlight option that says “Enter it manually”
- d. Follow the steps display on your phone
3. Activating your eSIM
Before starting activation, consider the following important points:
- You must be at the destination for which you purchased your eSIM.
- We recommend downloading this guide as a PDF so you can access the instructions even when you are offline.

- b. Go to Settings > Cellular (or Mobile Data) > Add Cellular Plan (or Add Data Plan), then scan the QR code
